The Royal Canadian Legion is Canada’s largest veteran support and community service organization. They care for all those who have served our nation and show thanks by supporting and advocating for veterans, by remembering their sacrifices, and by continuing the tradition of service in helping our communities.

The Royal Canadian Legion branches are central places for people to gather and feel connected to their neighbours. In many places, they serve as the primary community centre, hosting weddings, town meetings, community BBQs, memorial services, and other important events and activities.

Through its local Branches and members, The Royal Canadian Legion raises funds and supports essential services for those in need, and responds to the unique needs of their community.

Their work at the community level includes outreach and assistance programs for veterans and their families, fundraising to support essential community services, offering support for seniors and families in need, organizing commemorative ceremonies, promoting remembrance, and more.

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, the Royal Canadian Legion suffered a loss of revenue due to canceled events and lockdowns. For this reason, Connecting GTA’s founder Suresh Kumar, a philanthropist who regularly supports community and social causes wanted to commemorate war veterans and raise awareness and funds for the Royal Canadian Legion to help support all of the important work they do.

Connecting GTA is a widely recognized networking organization of entrepreneurs and business leaders who strive for growth, economic development and community activism. With the support of major sponsors Pathwise Credit UnionKashden ConsultingBig Rig Wraps, and the local business community, this Remembrance Day Rally for Veterans promises to drive much needed funds to increase awareness of the Royal Canadian Legion branches and help them deliver the important services and programs they provide.
